Frequently asked questions
WAKE WINDOW AUTO-ADJUST FEATURE
Question: What does the Wake Window Auto-Adjust feature of SIT App do?
Answer: This feature allows parents to consider their child’s current sleep patterns when creating their schedule. Parents simply input the ‘Wake Window’ time frame when they add a sleep task to the schedule, and if a child wakes early or later than expected, the feature automatically adjusts by shifting remaining activities. This ensures the next nap/bedtime aligns with the wake window provided.
Question: What is a “Wake Window” anyway?
Answer: A wake window refers to the duration of time that a person, typically a child, remains awake between periods of sleep, usually naps. It's the interval from the end of one sleep episode (nap) to the beginning of the next. Wake windows vary based on factors like age, sleep patterns, and individual needs. Setting an appropriate wake window helps establish a balanced sleep schedule and ensures that the child gets enough rest between naps.
Question: What if I want the caregiver to follow the schedule exactly without
adjusting for wake windows?
Answer: If you want the caregiver to follow the schedule as it appears without
adjusting for wake windows, you can choose not to activate the wake window
feature. This is particularly useful for children who have set nap times and don't
require wake window adjustments.
Question: What if I want to use Wake Window Auto-Adjust feature, but I have an activity that I don’t want rescheduled?
Answer: You can lock tasks that need to occur at specific times. There is an option to lock tasks when creating or editing a task, and this activity will then stay fixed in your schedule and won't be affected by adjustments from the Wake Window Auto-Adjust feature.
Question: Can I still benefit from the Wake Window Auto-Adjust feature if I have locked tasks?
Answer: Absolutely. While locked tasks remain fixed, the Wake Window Auto-
Adjust feature continues to work for other tasks in your schedule. This ensures that you maintain control over important time-specific tasks while still benefiting from the convenience of automatic adjustments.
Question: Why is the Wake Window Auto-Adjust feature useful?
Answer: It establishes a steady routine for the child, even if nap times change. The feature adapts the schedule to fit, ensuring the child gets enough rest, supporting healthy sleep habits and providing peace of mind for both parents and caregivers.
CHAT
Question: Is there a chat function in the app for communication between
parents and users?
Answer: Yes, the app features a chat function that facilitates communication
between parents and users throughout the day. This allows for updates, questions, and the sharing of photos.
Question: How secure is the chat function?
Answer: The chat function is encrypted, ensuring the privacy and security of the
conversations. Conversations are kept confidential and can only be accessed by the involved parties.
Question: How long are chat conversations and shared photos visible?
Answer: Chat conversations, including shared photos, are visible for 30 days.
Remember to save any photos you wish to keep before they are automatically
removed from the chat history.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
Question: Is there a way to share my child's medical information with
caregivers?
Answer: Yes, the app has a Medical tab where parents can input
allergies, medical conditions, and other important details for their child. Selected caregivers and parents can easily access and update this information.
Question: How secure and accessible is the medical information?
Answer: The medical information is securely stored and accessible only to
authorized caregivers and parents within the app. It's easily updatable, ensuring
everyone is well-informed for the child's safety and care.
NOTES
Question: How can I provide caregivers with important additional information?
Answer: The app includes a Notes tab where parents can input extra details like
house-locking procedures, bath routines, or bedtime rituals. Caregivers can access these notes to provide optimal support for the child, ensuring a seamless caregiving
experience.
FEEDBACK ON TASKS
Question: How can caregivers update parents on completed tasks and provide feedback?
Answer: Caregivers should mark tasks as completed as the day progresses. Each
completed task offers the option to provide brief written feedback, though it's not mandatory.
SCHEDULE SHARING CAPABILITIES
Question: Can I share my child's schedule with multiple caregivers?
Answer: Yes, you can share your child's schedule with multiple caregivers.
However, only the caregiver marked as "active" by the parent can interact with the schedule, marking tasks as complete and providing feedback.
Question: What happens if the schedule is shared but not activated by the
parent for a caregiver?
Answer: If the schedule is shared with a caregiver but not activated by the parent, the caregiver can still view the schedule, medical information, notes, and contacts. However, they won't be able to provide feedback or mark tasks as complete until the schedule is activated.
Question: What happens if a parent forgets to activate the schedule for a
caregiver?
Answer: If a parent forgets to activate the schedule for a caregiver, the caregiver
can remind them through the chat function. The parent can then quickly activate the schedule by toggling a switch, allowing the caregiver to start their duties promptly
Question: How can a parent revoke a caregiver's access to their child's
schedule?
Answer: Parents can remove a caregiver's access to their child's schedule through the Shared With tab. Once removed, the caregiver won't be able to view the schedule any longer.
Question: How can a parent restrict a caregiver from accessing all child
details?
Answer: If a parent wants to restrict a caregiver from accessing all details, they
should remove the caregiver from all schedules related to the child. This ensures
that the caregiver no longer has access to any child-related information or
schedules.
